Creating manual adjustments

Manual adjustments allow you to add or remove from a user's balance, or define a set number of days for the user's balance on a particular date.

To create manual adjustments, go to the Leave Bookings page, and click on Create Adjustments in the left hand toolbar. You will then need to select a date for which the adjustment applies. To add to a user's balance, enter a positive number in the quantity field. To deduct from a user's balance, enter a negative number instead.

You may wish to set a user's balance on a particular date. This is usually done when you are migrating from another system to ours, and you wish to set everyone's balances from the date that you plan to start using the system. The number which you define in the quantity field becomes the user's balance on the date specified. If you create new leave bookings or manual adjustments prior to that date, the balance will always be overridden on the balance set date.
