How to cancel (delete) a timesheet

Timesheet Portal allows you to cancel a timesheet, which is the same as deleting it but our system does not refer to deleted timesheets, only cancelled timesheets. It is not possible to completely remove a timesheet record from the system - we retain all cancelled timesheets so that there is always an audit of anything that has been flagged as cancelled.

Follow these steps to cancel a timesheet.

Go to Timesheets > Timesheet management in the left-hand menu, to open a list of timesheets.

Click on the Edit link at the right-hand side of the row to open the timesheet

At the top-left of the record page there's a Status drop-down menu. Click Cancelled, then Save changes from the row of actions towards the bottom of the page


To restore a cancelled timesheet, go to Timesheets > Timesheet management in the left-hand menu but note that you have to click the Cancelled filter in the row of filters near the top, in order to make a cancelled timesheet appear in the list. Once you've located the timesheet you want, reverse the steps above - click Edit, do to the Status drop-down menu, and change the status back to Approved or Submitted.
