Describes the various configurable sections for different timesheet reports

Updated over a week ago

There are a number of sections which are included/excluded depending on what timesheet report type you have chosen. This section describes each one of those in more detail.

Time Grouping

This configures the time period for which to group data by. If you select weekly here, the time/cost for each element of your report will be summed up for each week and shown in a separate line. The same applies for monthly. If you choose to view the total between a start and end date, then each element only appears once in your report, showing the total time/cost per element being reported on. The option Cumulative Total will sum up all the time on the system per element being reported on, so for example to see all the costs/time involved for each client over all time, then you would select a Client Time/Cost report and choose Cumulative Total for the time grouping. The Daily time grouping option may be useful if your users are making use of multiple shifts per day, in which case the Daily time grouping will group up all the time for each day. Selecting None will ensure that each shift or element of time (which could be time for the same task from multiple timesheets) is shown independently in the report. The None option is also required if you want to view the timesheet notes.

Timesheet Status

This section allows you to configure which timesheets should be included in your reports. By default, only Approved and Exported status are included, as these are the timesheets which generally are considered as being complete. You may in some instances want to report on the amount of time including unsubmitted timesheets, in which case you would need to tick the "Draft" option. To include time for timesheets which have been submitted but not yet approved, ensure you tick "Submitted".
