Management of leave day allowances and carryover days

Updated over a week ago

Leave allowances can be specified for individual users, and can change from year to year. To configure leave allowances, you must have the leave administrator permission. Click on Settings->Leave Settings to access the settings page. Then click on "Leave Allowances" on the top of this page.

Leave allowances specify the number of days a user is awarded as holiday entitlement each year. Maximum carryover is used to limit the number of days a user can carry over from one year to the next if they have not used up their entire holiday entitlement. Leave allowances are set on a per year basis, but if you have not set a value for a future year, then the settings will continue from one year to the next. For example if you specify 25 days allowance for 2012, but nothing for 2013 and 2014, then 2013 and 2014 will have 25 days allowance. You can then specify a new allowance of 26 days for 2015, which will apply for 2015, 2016 etc until you set a new allowance for a future year.
