Timesheet Portal allows you track employee's absence in different ways.

Holidays
Firstly, using our leave bookings system you can plan for time off in advance. You can also record any time taken off within timesheets. If you are subscribed to both the timesheets module and leave management module you can link the leave bookings into timesheets automatically.

For information on setting up leave bookings please read the help pages within the leave bookings section. For tracking time within timesheets, the process is to simply set up tasks within a non-billable project, so that these tasks can be added to a timesheet.

Sickness and other absence
We do not provide any form of sickness booking forms, and as such sickness should be logged into a timesheet the same way you would log time for a particular task. We do however provide a mechanism for running a special report on employee absence. In order for this report to work, you must let Timesheet Portal know which tasks you have configured as absence tasks. To do so, go to Settings->Absence. From you you will be able to browse your projects and tasks, and have the ability to add them to the list of absence tasks. This is all you need to do to make the absence report work.
