Manage your time entry units

Updated over a week ago

Rate codes can have a particular unit assigned to them. Units are used to state what type of time (or other) is being tracked, e.g. Hours / Days. To manage units, select the Rate Codes & Units page from the Settings menu. To access the units, then click on Units on the top of this page.

By default, Hours and Days units are created, and cannot be removed from the system. You can create additional units which you can assign to existing rates or new rates. To create an additional unit, click on Create New Unit, and enter the unit name. Click "Create" to create the unit. To rename the unit, click on the edit icon on the right hand side of the unit name.

Note that units do not have to be used to record time only. For example you may want to record the number of telesales calls made in a timesheet. You could do this using a rate code which has its entry mode set to integer, which allows you to record any number in the timesheet. Further information is available on the Rate Codes help page.
